This years Veterans Day celebration at Cincinnati Christian Schools (CCS) once again demonstrated commitment on the part of Cincinnati Christian Schools to recognize and support all veterans of this great nation for their service and sacrifice over the years.

Several military branches were represented including the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy. Our military service members were honored as each was escorted by a CCS student to their seats in the auditorium. The band and choir, color guard (Boys Scout Troop #912), numerous student speeches, pledges to the American and Christian flags, tribute videos, and a veterans perspective by former Marine Captain, Tom Rumping, all played a beautiful role in supporting our veterans. Representatives of Doug Dunaway American Legion Post 790 included Dave Mason, William (Sonny) Feck, Darrell Lively, Jack Mason, Steve Lieurance, and myself.

Our appreciation goes out to Cincinnati Christian Schools Superintendent Ray Kochis, faculty, ancillary staff, and CCS’s wonderful student body for making us feel welcome and commemorating Veterans Day with the dignity and respect it deserves.
